From thrilling rides to interactive shows, Sesame Place has something for everyone. Located in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, Sesame Place is a popular theme park that caters specifically to families with young children. The park ensures that families have a stress-free and enjoyable experience from start to finish.
Our Recommendations

Even if your kids don’t watch Sesame Street the park has plenty of rides for all ages. From gentle carousels to exciting roller coasters, there is no shortage of thrills at the park. We traveled from NY so we were able to do a day trip to the park without having to stay overnight at a hotel. We visited the park in the summer so the water rides were open too.
Dining
When it comes to eating at the park be prepared to wait in lines for food and drinks. Also, be prepared to spend way too much money for food and drinks. The park policy says, “No outside food, beverages, or coolers are allowed to be brought into Sesame Place, except you may bring a bottle of water or a refillable water bottle.” However, the day we went was 90+ degrees and we could not locate water fountains at the park. We ended up spending an astronomical amount of money on liquids. The park doesn’t check for food/drinks so it’s probably fine to bring small snacks for young children.
- Big Bird’s Burgers and Bites: there was very little seating and the line was extremely long for lunch. I was shocked at the prices for the food and drinks, especially how little you get and how long you wait for your order. We grabbed a few items and shared them; the burger was close to $20.
Tips for a Successful Day with Kids

- Children 23 months and younger don’t need tickets.
- I was very impressed by the facilities they had available for nursing moms. The nursing room had curtains separating each area with a chair, a diaper changing station, and an outlet. The room was quiet when I was there and the AC was a nice break from the summer heat.
- We couldn’t locate nor were given paper maps so be sure to take a photo of the park map and show schedule upon entering the park.
- Purchase the fast pass (aka Abby’s Unlimited Magic Queue)! I believe there are a limited number of the fast pass tickets sold each day but it saves so much time and allows you to experience many more rides.

The parade was a highlight for the kids. The parade is subject to change without notice so definitely check the park schedule when you arrive at the park for show and parade times. The parade is typically at 3 p.m.
Our kids had a great time but I don’t think for the amount we paid for the tickets, food, and drinks, the value was worth it. If we didn’t have the fast passes I think our day would have been very different. Overall it was a success with our kids but the park is overpriced.
